AGLF

AGLF (Artisans and Glass Legal Fund) was created in 2009 when nearly two hundred lampwork artists found themselves being accused on an internet blog of illegal acts, by a not so anonymous author. Thanks to the generous souls both inside and outside of the lampwork community, we were able to take a lawsuit for defamation per se against the blogspot author. It was a tough fight and tens of thousands of dollars were spent before we finally had to give up and drop the case due to lack of funds. We just couldn't continue.

Shortly after the case was dropped, a new case was opened against thirty of us (some in the previous suit, some not) for tortuous interference and conspiracy. This case has been going on since mid summer 2010 and we as a group are spending thousands of dollars each month in an effort to defend ourselves against something we simply DID NOT DO.  I am one of the defendants in this case.

AGLF on Etsy

This is a collaborative store hosted and operated by AGLF members. Members list their hand made items in the store, with proceeds going directly to AGLF. Lots of beautiful beads, jewelry and bead making products can be found here, so please be sure to check back each day to see what's newly listed. Among the offerings, charitable contributions of exquisite work by community members outside of AGLF can be found as well.  To those who have donated items to the shop, thank you on behalf of each and every person involved with AGLF.

AGLF Website

This site pulls all of our efforts together in one place. . .Here, you can find a place to donate funds. No amount is too small, every single dollar helps. Another way that AGLF is trying to raise funds is by offering a 2011 calendar packed with photos of gorgeous beads. You can find a link to purchase a calendar on this website.

Thank you all so much for your support!
